Carol Hannah Wedding Collection

By Ashleigh, April 5, 2010 8:00 am

I watch Project Runway occasionally, but am not as avid a follower as many other people are. I do love the challenges and creative vision of the different designers selected for the show.

Ever since I started working in the wedding industry, I’ve tried to keep an eye out for new fashion trends and I absolutely love the new fashion from emerging designers. A few weeks ago I was waiting in anticipation for new designs from Carol Hannah, a former Project Runway (season 6) contestant who has a passion for dresses. I first stumbled across this news from Bella Bridesmaid, one of the boutiques who will be carrying her beautiful bridesmaid line.

The Carol Hannah bridal line is comprised of beautiful designs that blend modern and elegance perfectly. I also love that many of her designs are available in various lengths, providing more options for the bride.

I’m still waiting to see her entire line, but how gorgeous is that pink bridesmaid dress at the bottom? I hope someone asks me to be in their wedding and picks that perfect dress for the bridesmaids – such a great excuse to purchase a beautiful dress!

By the way, Melanie just read this blog, and scolded me for not mentioning Carol Hannah is her ultimate favorite designer from the series. Looks like we think alike!

Always a Bridesmaid

By Melanie, March 22, 2010 7:50 am

Always a bridesmaid but never a bride? That’s seriously not so bad these days! With all the cute dresses available, it’s a delight to welcome a new addition to your wardrobe.

How fantastic are the latest and greatest dress designs in the world of the bridesmaid? They are quite simply beautiful – a fresh and welcome alternative to their previous predecessors. In fact, there are so many new options out there, you might actually get to wear them once, twice, three times over.

The bridesmaid of today has taken a turn for the better. You might even find yourself shopping for party wear at some of the incredible boutiques like Bella Bridesmaid and Sash & Bustle that are growing in popularity.

To get you thinking about fun, flirty fashions, here is a sampling from some of our favorite designers.

Coolest Jewelry on the Block

By Melanie, April 13, 2009 2:53 pm

I have to say her name out loud, because I am so angry with myself for just now learning about her.  I recently found the most fabulous necklace at Nordstrom’s and became quickly obsessed with all of the jewelry by this one particular designer…Kendra Scott.

It seems I have been living on Mars, without InStyle Magazine, because prior to my shopping excursion, I was unaware of Kendra Scott. Not only is her jewelry stunning, but her color combinations are strikingly beautiful.

I don’t know how else to describe her jewelry but to say that it is equally antique and modern; boisterous and delicate; mature and childlike, and definitely memorable. What’s more, after visiting her website, it turns out that she has not only been featured in numerous fashion magazines on a regular basis (i.e. InStyle), but she is an avid philanthropist and based out of Austin, Texas (not even an hour and a half from myself).

That being said, I am now passing along her name to any other lost souls in the world who might have possibly, like myself, missed the memo.

Kendra Scott is fabulous!

Read about her company and view her collection at www.kendrascott.com.  Enjoy.
