Behind the Scenes: Model Prep
One thing we absolutely wanted to capture at this photo shoot was a human element to our products. The task of (1) staging product in tablescapes and scenes, (2) shooting detailed product shots for catalog purposes and (2) styling models was a lot to attack in one day. This is why we’d never been able to capture everything at once.
Until recently.
We were so blessed to not only have a perfect venue at the Landmark, a talented photographer in Matthew Niemann and a remarkable hair/make-up artist with Layne Mayo, but we also lined up gorgeous models! My longtime friend from high school, Erin, grabbed her sister-in-laws to be models alongside her for our new line. Their stylish wardrobes, energy and bright smiles were such a wonderful asset to the shoot.

Children are amazing. Their smiles, laughter and innocence can make any photo shoot complete. Their unpredictability, however, can also be a disaster waiting to happen.
Maihar Design’s blessings with a perfect photo shoot at the Landmark continued with precious little ones who were so well behaved!
Our niece and her friends were the subjects for our flower wands and hair petals. The wonderful Layne Mayo continued her beautifying skills on these precious girls – delighting them with lip gloss and pink blush. These sweet girls were glowing with excitement to be wearing “big girl” makeup!

We’ve yet to unveil our fourth child model. His long locks, perfect brown eyes and charm would lead to instant “oohing” and “awwing” from everyone on set. You don’t want to miss this – so check back later this week for our final behind the scenes look at the Glitzy Girls photo shoot.
